NMEDA - National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association
NMEDA is a non-profit trade association. Its membership consists of automobile manufacturers, adaptive equipment manufacturers and dealers, driver educators and trainers, doctors, lawyers, insurance adjusters, professional consumers involved in the mobility needs of the disabled, and government officials from the U.S., Canada, and England.
ADED - Association For Driver Rehabilitation Specialists
ADED is a non-profit association that disseminates information and education to professionals involved in driver education, driver training, and transportation equipment modifications for persons with disabilities.
DSAA - Driving School Association of the Americas
DSAA is an international association of driving school owners and educators who come from the U.S., Canada, Germany, Japan, Austria, and the United Kingdom. The goals of DSAA are to improve driver safety and encourage professional ethics in the industry.
NHTSA - National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
NHTSA is a branch of the U.S. Department of Transportation and carries out safety programs under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966 and the Highway Safety Act of 1966. This is accomplished by establishing and enforcing safety performance standards for motor vehicles and motor vehicle equipment. NHTSA provides extensive support ranging from educational materials, publications, and data-based information to safety hotlines, community programs, and information on disabilities.
Lifesavers
Lifesavers is the premier national highway safety meeting in the United States. It provides a forum that delivers commonsense solutions to today’s critical highway safety programs. It has no single sponsor and relies on the involvement of diverse private and public groups that share the common goal of improving highway safety.
